    Mercer PTSA Fundraising

    The Mercer PTSA Board of Directors is seeking to fill the position of Fundraising Committee Chair/co-Chair to lead our fundraising activities. Initially, the duties will focus on collecting our membership’s input and developing a fundraising plan. Support will be provided by the board and volunteers recruited to carry out the activities ultimately adopted by the membership.

    If you are interested in serving as the Fundraising Chair or co-Chair, or just want to find out more about the position or the PTSA, please contact mercer_ptsa@outlook.com. Board terms are one year and a two year commitment is preferred.

    If you can’t serve as a board member, want to help with events or other activities of this committee? Lend your skills, talents and enthusiasm in raising funds to support Mercer students and staff and families. In the coming weeks we will be discussing our fundraising goals, activities and events. Help us plan and carry out our fundraising program – the opportunities are endless!

    While fundraising events are fun and profitable, below is a list of everyday ways that you or your friends and family can support Mercer throughout the year:

    • Shop at Amazon.com using this special Amazon.com link and the PTSA earns 4-15% of most purchases!

      See below for information on bookmarking and a special Chrome extension for your shopping (and giving) convenience.

    • Box Tops for Education: Save the pink Box Tops for Education from participating vendors and put them in the box in the front office at the school. Mercer PTSA will receive 10 cents for every top redeemed.

    • Red Apple Market Receipts: Save your receipts from Hilltop Red Apple Market, and put them in the Red Apple box in the front office at the school. Mercer PTSA will receive 1% of the total amount of receipts turned in (not including alcohol and tobacco purchases).
    • eScrip: Register your B Caring Bartell Drugs card or debit/credit card and 1-4% of your purchases go to the Mercer Middle School PTSA 6.15.435. Sign up at eScrip
    • Target REDcard: Use your Target REDcard and up to 1% of your purchases go to Mercer Middle School PTSA 6.15.435. Sign up at Target REDcard
    • Corporate Matching Gifts: Ask your employer’s HR department about matching your gift to Mercer Middle School PTSA 6.15.435. Or search SPU Matching Gifts for a list of participating employers.
    • Community Giving: Employees of the City of Seattle, King County and the State of Washington can designate a monthly paycheck deduction to benefit Mercer Middle School PTSA 6.15.435. Contact your employer’s HR department for information on how to sign up.
