Today is Tuesday, October 5, 2021 and this is Ms. Encarnacion, your Principal

Students:
Each day, this month you will hear different voices share important information about Bully
Prevention. This is our Bully Prevention announcement for today.
OCTOBER IS BULLY PREVENTION MONTH
National Bullying Prevention Month is a campaign that is held in the month of October to unite
communities nationwide to educate and raise awareness of bullying prevention.
Did you know that more than one out of every five students will be bullied this year? This is
probably happening to someone you know and care about. Even though, bullying behaviors are
common among young people like you, students at Mercer can make choices to do the
following:
• Support others who have been hurt or harmed
• Treat others with kindness
• Be more accepting of people’s difference such as race, gender identity, abilities, and
• Help include those who are left out.
If you are aware of a situation where you or others are experiencing one-sided, unfair, and
ongoing mean-ness- please reach out to an adult here at Mercer or your adult at home for help.
We want to know, we want to listen, and we want to take action.
Let’s unite for kindness, acceptance and inclusion and make a positive impact all day long. This
month we will learn how we can make a difference.
Go Mustangs and make it a great day!
