    Mercer LogoDear Mercer Families,

I hope you have been able to enjoy some of the warmer weather these past few days. It has made me smile and think about the energy and joy that is on a middle school campus in the spring. There is so much to be thankful for and to celebrate - I look forward to being able to do that again in the coming months.

I have just a few quick notes for you today:
    • Families who have not yet picked up a laptop are invited to come to Mercer this week between 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. to check one out. This will be the final week of distribution.
    • If you have checked out a laptop and are having difficulty with it, please make sure to contact the district technology supports available for families. Mercer is not able to exchange laptops or provide technology supports for families.
    • Current 6th and 7th grade families were sent information about elective course selection for next year. Please make sure your student logs into their Source page - parents will not be able to see the course selection information from their log in.
    • I know that students are anxious to get back on campus and collect their belongings. Once the Stay-at-Home order has been lifted by the governor we will communicate a plan to families to allow students safely onto campus to collect their things. We anticipate this will be the end of May or beginning of June.
    • Mercer is on Instagram! Please follow our school (@mercermustangs) and our ASB student leaders (@asb.mercer) for announcements, Mercer news and the latest campus happenings!
    • Lunch service: A reminder that any student can get lunch Monday - Friday at Mercer from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm . In addition to lunch there are learning packets for grades K-5 as well as Mercer specific learning packets for our students. Students can also get books to read from Ms. Addanki on Wednesdays. Additionally, FareStart has joined our community and has been providing prepared dinners for families as well.

We hope you are well. Please continue to reach out to us if there is something we can do to support your student or your family during this time.

    Go Mustangs!
