    Dear Mercer Families,

Thank you for hanging in with us on Friday while we wrestled with technical issues. I am hopeful things are going to be much smoother this week.

In preparation for a great week of learning, please make sure your student has shut down and restarted their computer (after leaving it on for a few hours) several times before tomorrow morning.

Below is our continued Strong Start schedule for this week:

    9:00 – 9:55

    10:05 – 11:00

Period 2: SEL Lesson and Community Building

Period 3: Orienting Students to Mercer – Schoology

Period 4: SEL Lesson and Community Building

Period 5: Orienting Students to Mercer – Outlook and Email

Period 6: SEL Lesson and Community Building

Period 7: Orienting Students to Mercer – Teams

Period 1: SEL Lesson and Community Building

Grade Level POWER Assemblies with your 1st period class.

In addition to meeting teachers and learning about our community, students will also receive instruction on the technology platforms we will be using for learning this school year.

Tomorrow (Tuesday) students who have not yet checked out a laptop can pick on up. Additionally, we will be offering onsite assistance for students unable to log into their computers or are having password challenges. 3 staff will be available from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm.  We are unable to exchange devices that are running slow or not working correctly. For those issues please contact the tech line at (206) 252-0100.

This week your family will be receiving a phone call from our students Advocacy Team Teacher to schedule a virtual home visit. Advocacy Teams meet Tuesday and Friday mornings. These teams will also appear on your student's schedule as an 8th period class. These are not graded classes but a time for us to check in with students in smaller groups as we support distance learning this fall.

Thank you again for your patience as we get up and running this fall. We are learning together in this new school year.

    Go Mustangs!
