      Neighborcare Health update

We were recently informed that Neighborcare Health, a health care provider offering medical, dental, and mental health services in our building, identified a deficiency in sterilization procedures in its school-based dental programs. Our staff share in your concern for the well-being and safety of our students.

Neighborcare is funded by the Family and Education Levy through the City of Seattle to support student health. Public Health—Seattle & King County selects and manages the dental and health care providers.

If you received a letter from Neighborcare Health about the dental incident, we encourage you to contact them directly for support. While the incident described by Neighborcare Health poses a low risk to students, I understand the anxiety, anger, and fear this news may cause. We understand Neighborcare has reviewed and updated their training and dental care safety protocols. They are also offering free testing to any student potentially affected that received a Neighborcare Health notification letter.

If you have concerns and questions, please call Neighborcare Health directly at 206-548-3061.
